I'm sure you're like most people and wonder how we review and come up with the recommendations that we do for the products featured on this site. Well, here's how.

Our reviews and recommendations come about in a variety of ways. We use data from manufacturers, information from online reviews of the products themselves from actual owners on blogs and/or forums and personal experience if we've used or own the tool.

We also visit retailers to get an idea on how various tools are made, construction materials, how they feel in the hand as well as how the total package comes together.

In a nutshell, I'm looking for a reliable, well made tool that I would be happy to have in my shop and one that is reasonably priced.
