quantumike micrometer First of all, if you're on this page, I probably don't have to explain to you what a Quantumike is. But in case you don't know, a Quantumike is a brand name of micrometers that are designed to measure things down to the tiniest degree. Quantumike's measure the outside of an item although there are some micrometers designed to measure the inside diameter of pipe and other hollow material.

QuantuMike micrometers, as well as other brands of micrometers, are used by Machinist and Engineers when there is no room for errors and their projects call for the utmost accurate measurements. Quantumike is a brand name of the Mitutoyo Corporation.

While Quantumike's are favored by many in the manufacturing industry, their big brother, the QuickMike is also manufactured by Mitutoyo. Although a little beefier than the Quantumike, the QuickMike is quicker to use in my opinion. If speed of measuring is your forte and you don't care for a lighter micrometer, then choose the QuickMike.

The best place I've found to buy micrometers of any kind, whether they're Quantumike's, QuickMikes or another brand, is Amazon.com. They always seem to have the best prices on micrometers and other machinist tools. Plus, with their no hassle customer service, it's just a plain joy to order from these folks and I've been getting most of my tools from them for years.
